Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 2026  ·  Last Updated: June 2026

Welcome to Blocker Ultra (referred to as "we," "our," or "the App"). We are committed to protecting your personal privacy while providing powerful behavioral and cognitive support tools to help you manage your digital habits and overcome adult content consumption.

This Privacy Policy explains exactly how our application interacts with your device, what data is processed, and our strict commitment to a local-first, privacy-by-design architecture.

1. Our Core Principle: Processing vs. Collection

We believe your private data should remain completely yours. Blocker Ultra draws a strict boundary between processing data and collecting data:

  • Data Processing (On-Device Only): To protect you in real-time, the App must analyze on-screen content and network requests. This analysis happens ephemerally entirely within your device's volatile memory (RAM). This data is processed in fractions of a second and immediately flushed. It is never saved, cached, or written to your device's permanent storage.
  • Data Collection (Transmitted Off-Device): We do not collect, harvest, upload, or sell your private screen content, browsing history, or personal identity. The only data transmitted off your device is anonymous, high-level operational telemetry (such as clicking an onboarding button) to help us ensure the App runs correctly.

2. High-Scrutiny System Permissions & Technical Disclosures

To provide continuous, uninterrupted protection, the App requires specific deep-system permissions. Google Play handles these with the highest level of security scrutiny, and our technical implementations are defined below:

A. Accessibility Service API (AccessibilityService)

  • Purpose: This permission is used strictly as a behavioral intervention and cognitive pattern-interrupter. It provides the core visual protection layer of the App.
  • Mechanism: When enabled, the App runs an on-device background service that analyzes transient visual frames at intervals of seconds. These frames are analyzed locally using heavily optimized, small machine learning models.
  • Data Handling: Zero screen data is ever saved or transmitted. Every visual frame captured for analysis exists only in volatile memory and is permanently destroyed immediately after the machine learning model evaluates it. No data ever leaves your physical device.
  • Action Taken: If explicit material is verified by the local model, the service executes a secure overlay window to interrupt the behavior, providing a temporary localized cooldown period.

B. VPN Service API (VpnService)

  • Purpose: This permission is used strictly for network-level blocking of explicit web domains (DNS Filtering).
  • Mechanism: The App utilizes Android's native VpnService to establish a completely local loopback tunnel directly on your device. It intercepts outgoing Domain Name System (DNS) requests and cross-references them against an embedded local database file containing over 100,000 known adult domains.
  • Data Handling: Because this is a local loopback tunnel, no network traffic is routed through external proxy servers or third-party networks. Your web browsing traffic is not decrypted, monitored, tracked, or logged. If a DNS request matches a domain in our local blocklist, the connection to that specific domain is dropped locally; all other safe traffic passes normally through your standard internet service provider.

D. Notification Permission (Android 13+)

  • Purpose: Required to display a persistent, non-dismissible status notification in your device's notification drawer while blocking features are active.
  • Data Handling: This is a system visibility mechanism. It ensures you always have visual confirmation that the background protection service is actively running and has not been silently closed by the operating system. No personal tracking data is tied to this notification.

3. Third-Party Analytics & Operational Telemetry

To monitor app stability, track user onboarding success, and improve product performance, Blocker Ultra integrates Google Analytics for Firebase (provided by Google LLC).

What is Tracked:

  • App Lifecycle Events: Launches, successful completion of onboarding steps, feature toggles (e.g., turning DNS filtering on/off), configuration adjustments (e.g., changing the cooldown timer length), and application crashes.
  • Device Metadata: Anonymized Firebase installation IDs, device model, operating system version, and general geographic region (country/city level).

Our Absolute Analytics Firewall:

Under no circumstances does the Google Analytics SDK interact with, access, or intercept data from our core protection layers. Zero data regarding your on-screen activity (processed via the Accessibility API) or your blocked network URLs (processed via the VPN Service) is ever captured, passed to event parameters, or shared with Google Analytics.

All data transmitted to Google Analytics is encrypted in transit. You can completely opt-out of anonymous usage tracking at any time via the App's settings menu.

4. Local App Configuration Storage

Blocker Ultra keeps your functional configurations entirely isolated to your physical device.

Your chosen settings—specifically your custom cooldown durations and preference toggles—are saved locally inside Android's protected local application sandbox (using standard encrypted SharedPreferences or local databases).

This configuration data is entirely isolated from other apps, is never synced to a remote cloud database infrastructure, and is completely wiped from existence if you uninstall the application from your device.

5. Age Restrictions and Children's Privacy

Blocker Ultra is strictly intended for individuals aged 18 or older. The App is designed specifically as a specialized behavioral and cognitive support tool to assist adults in managing mature digital habits and overcoming adult content consumption. We do not intentionally target, market to, or knowingly collect any personal information from minors.

If you are under the age of 18, you are not permitted to use this App. If you believe an individual under 18 has accessed the app, please contact us immediately at our developer support address, and we will immediately delete their account and permanently purge all associated telemetry from our infrastructure.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect modifications to our features or shifts in Google Play Developer Policies. We will notify you of any structural changes by posting the new Privacy Policy directly on this webpage and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about our data protection standards.
